Hospitals
Cleaning robots for hospitals differ mainly in two respects: the floor area they're built for, and how they clean themselves, which determines how well the machine fits into your hygiene concept. Here's the right model for your area.
Which Cleaning Robot Fits Your Hospital Area?
| Area / Requirement | Model | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Smaller, compact hospital areas | Gausium Phantas | Available |
| Larger, more versatile areas | Pudu CC1 Pro | Available |
| Integrated self-cleaning, no external docking space required | Gausium Mira | Demo in Germany from late September 2026, project deployment from late Q4 2026 |
Phantas and CC1 Pro clean themselves via an external docking station and are both already in use. Phantas suits smaller, more compact areas; in our documented case study at a hospital, this model measured around 60 dB(A) (field measurement). CC1 Pro covers larger, more versatile areas; according to the manufacturer, noise stays below 75 dB(A) (manufacturer specification). Mira takes a different approach: self-cleaning is built directly into the robot, so no separate docking space is needed. See availability details below.
Why Self-Cleaning Decides, Not the Device Category
Sweeping robots such as the Gausium Beetle or Pudu MT1 are deliberately left out here. They reliably pick up coarse debris but don't clean wet and aren't the first choice for hard floors in clinical settings. Hospitals are subject to strict hygiene requirements, including the KRINKO recommendations for surface disinfection in Germany. A device that reliably cleans itself, whether via an external station or built in, isn't a convenience feature here; it's a precondition for the robot to become part of a robust hygiene concept. For more on these requirements and our case study, see our foundational article on cleaning robots in hospitals.
Gausium Mira in Germany: Demo from September, Project Deployment from Q4 2026
Mira isn't yet available in Germany. A demo unit will be available starting late September 2026, with deployment in concrete customer projects possible from late in the fourth quarter of 2026. In hospital corridors and high-traffic areas especially, fully integrated self-cleaning can matter, since no extra space needs to be planned for an external docking station. If you'd like to evaluate this approach for your own area, you can request a demo starting in September. For immediate implementation, Phantas or CC1 Pro are currently the better fit.
Purchase, Leasing, or Service
Whether purchasing or leasing suits your hospital better depends on usage duration and internal requirements. We put together an individual offer for this. For an economic comparison, see our article on buying, leasing, or RaaS for cleaning robots. For ongoing operations, we offer tiered service packages; details are available on our service page.
